The wizards of the Unseen University pull Rincewind from a blissfully boring desert island and send him across the Discworld to the Agataean Empire where he meets his old friend, Cohen, leader of the Silver Horde--five geriatric heroes and a retired teacher. The Horde travels to Hunghung, capital of the Empire, where Cohen plans the crowning achievement of his career. In spite of his efforts to avoid danger, Rincewind ends up leading revolutionaries who want to overthrow the Empire (politely) and resurrecting the legendary Red Army. First published in Britain in 1994.
