Going Postal (2005) Terry Pratchett (Author)
In this installment of the long-running Discworld series, Moist von Lipwig barely escapes hanging for crimes committed in a previous novel. But he's not off the hook; the despotic ruler of Ankh-Morpock makes Moist the postmaster of the Ankh-Morpock postal service, a thankless job indeed. Moist must make the moribund postal service efficient and profitable once again, in spite of bureaucracy, enormous heaps of undelivered letters, the ghosts of dead postmen, an incompetent assistant, and competition from a new communication system known as the clacks.
