The Patriot's Club (2005) Christopher Reich (Author)
Thomas Bolden is a successful investment banker living in Manhattan, but that description only goes skin deep. For Thomas grew up on the mean streets of Chicago, a gang member who succeeded in leaving his rough past behind him--or so he thinks. An apparent mugging of Thomas' girlfriend, Jenny Dance, leads to an inexplicable kidnapping: someone thinks that Thomas has important information. Thomas gets away from the kidnappers, but now he knows too much. He and Jenny go on the run from a shadowy organization that wants them dead, and Thomas discovers that his hard-earned street-smarts stand him in good stead.
